STLpikes Founders Day Event!

Good afternoon gentleman.

As I'm sure you are aware, Pi Kappa Alpha will soon be celebrating our 141st Founders Day. While I encourage everyone to try and make the trip up to Kansas City to meet and interact with past, current and future members at the Founder's Day Events that have already been planned, I understand that not everyone will be able to make it.

Simpson and myself have been discussing getting together those of us that will still be in the area for our own Founder's Day celebration. Tentatively, our plans include:

Saturday, February 28, 2009 @ Washington Avenue (Time to be determined)

Wives, girlfriends or whoever else you want to bring are more than welcome, the more the merrier.

We'll meet up and bowl a few at the Flamingo Bowl. We can reserve some lanes. It's a small place, but it's upscale and has a great bar and good food. Check out the link below:

We can only reserve lanes for up to two hours, so afterwards we can walk next door to The Dubliner. For those of you who haven't been, The Dubliner is a great Irish pub with a great atmosphere and they have bar areas both upstairs and downstairs. Here's the link to that place.

If anyone has any other suggestions of what to do instead, don't hesitate to let us know. We want this to be an event that will get as many of you to come as possible.

Attendance in the past has been less than ideal. Many of us have not seen each other in years and I hope that giving you this much advance notice will allow ample time to make arrangements. So make some effort to attend.

If anyone IS going to Kansas City and will be attending the alumni meeting, please let us know so we can come to you for a recap that we can post on here for the rest of the area alumni to check out.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, let me or Dan know.

We'll be sending out reminders every now and then to keep you guys updated.

Thanks guys
